A little word on the closing of the Woodgrove outlet. Kopitiam has sub-leased the coffee shop to a new operator. We can’t handle a rent increase of some 40%. We were given only six days notice about this and had until Saturday, 9 Jan ’10 to remove our equipment. I’m really sorry for the lack of notice to our loyal customers. We …WILL open elsewhere….within Woodlands hopefully. Please watch this space or join us on Facebook to get quicker updates.

Yes! The Singapore Slingers came from behind and beat table toppers Philippine Patriots down and out in the first quarter, but battled back valiantly against the Philippine Patriots to secure their seventh victory of the season. Michael LeBlanc led the Slingers with 21 points at the game’s end, but it was local boy Steven Khoo who stole the show late in the game, scoring six of his eight points late in the final quarter.
