We’re past the halfway mark for the Massive Eating Contest Preliminaries. Please note a slight change in dates…Bedok is now happening
on 4 Aug. Next up is Changi this Monday 26 July. Go show your mettle there!

a3-ambulance

What’s an Ambulance doing on our Website you might ask? Well A3 International Assists is our kind sponsor for this year’s Massive Eating Contest. They have been at every venue and will be present throughout all the way to the Finals. Just to be on the safe side in case of emergencies. Of course nothing has ever happened but we must take precautions. They are a 24-hour Islandwide Ambulance Service provider as well as providing a whole plethora of Medical Services. Thanks again A3!

DEPOT PRELIMINARIES – 21 Jul

Depot Road was quiet both last year and last night again for the Preliminary there. Only Mohan, who is a returning finalist from 2009 came down so we gave him a bye through to the finals but we suspect he may just use an upcoming preliminary as a warm up to the Final.

‘Makan Sedap’ is the new name in Massive Munching…and mind you she’s Female. Soft spoken and shy but with a ‘male-matching’ timing of 2 min 24 sec, she’s right up there as a legend already…to us anyway.

Together with suprising Ding Zhi (2min 11 sec) and returning ‘Ryei Therion’ (1 min 33 sec) and ‘Walrus’ (1 min 51 sec) who both bettered their previous times, the stage is all set for Orchard branch tonite. So go on down and register by 7 pm to try getting a place in the finals. It’s all in the mind as these fine folk have shown.

How fast can YOU consume a MASSIVE™ SUNRISE? That’s a 220gram beef patty, four rashers of bacon, four slices of cheddar and two sunny side up eggs! Zac the Vac downed one in only 72 seconds last year but he came in 2nd  at the finals!

This year we start with a bang since the first preliminary is smack in the middle of the WORLD CYBER GAMES, in front of thousands at Singapore Expo on 10 July and then in ALL of our outlets, Halal and non-Halal ! We’ve created 3 tiers so it’ll be Professional Eaters, Men’s Open & Women’s Open Categories.

The prizes will be great, holiday stays, spa treatments and CASH! Trophies for the top finishers, special series t-shirts for the finalists and pretty much just as much fun as we can muster.

You know, a MASSIVE™ SUNRISE goes for about $13.00 (a deal, we know), but the entry fee for the whole contest is only, hold on, $10.00. That’s right! Even if you only wanted to get this burger at a $3.00 discount, you could sign up, who knows, maybe you would make the finals?! Last year 33 people did!

Come on, get off your duff and put some weight on! You won’t regret it. Amazing terms and conditions apply! (what else is new?)

Cheers,

Bernie aka Botak
